Processor Types

Which different processor types are there?

Within the Android devices a number of different types of processors can be defined.
The most commonly used brands are Qualcomm Snapdragon, Samsung Exynos, MediaTek Helio and HiSilicon Kirin.

The Android scanners that we sell and rent out have a Qualcomm chipset in almost all cases.
The processor has an X number of cores, the more cores there are, the more processes can be processed simultaneously.
The clock speed, often expressed in Ghz, also plays an important role in how quickly the tasks can be processed.

The most common core at the moment is the Octa-core variant, this is a processor with 8 cores.
In addition, there are various models available with a Hexa (6) or Quad (4) core.

As indicated earlier, the clock speed has an important role, it usually varies in speed between 1.1 and 2.4 Ghz.
